Swan Hill Sustainability Group

Radiating from the rural town of Swan Hill, Swan Hill Sustainability Group (SHSG) is a cross-border, incorporated, not-for-profit community organisation whose purpose is practicing, promoting and advocating for decisions that care for the Earth, and sustainable ways of living, including:
• Safe climate, clean energy, equitable transition.
• Local and sustainable Food,
• Nature, Biodiversity, Healthy Rivers and Landcare,
• Waste Minimization and healthy living.

SHSG, formerly Sustainable Living In the Mallee, has had a long history collaborating with Swan Hill Rural City Council and other stakeholders since our establishment in 2008.
We have completed many successful projects including: 1000 Rooves, Swan Hill West Landcare pest control works and the 2025 Urban Riverfront Enhancement Project. In 2023 we ran a Climate Action Forum, and in 2022 and 2024 we partnered to organise River Peoples Forums.
Over 2024 we implemented a Strategic Planning process to create a document to guide our activities over the coming years.
