Byford Equipment is a family-owned manufacturer with 50 years of experience creating specialised tankers for customers across Australia. Founded by Gary and Irene Byford, the business grew from farm equipment repairs into an innovative manufacturing operation serving the dairy, wine, food, oils, bitumen and aquaculture industries.

Since relocating to Moama in the early 2000s for the opportunities River Country afforded; workforce, logistics and space to grow, Byford Equipment has remained connected to the local community while supplying customers throughout Australia and internationally

“It's a small community and we feel very connected, here.” - Belinda Byford, Byford Equipment

In addition to pioneering side-entry tanker manways to developing refrigerated tankers for long-distance milk transport Byford Equipment also provides comprehensive fleet maintenance, repair and hydraulic solutions, delivering everything from hose and spare parts supply and custom hose reel systems to on-site servicing, minor repairs and complete rebuilds. The company proudly invests in future generations, having supported more than 200 apprentices throughout its history.

For Belinda and the Byford team, success means listening closely to customers, working collaboratively with their team and suppliers, and transforming raw materials into practical, high-quality equipment that proudly rolls out the workshop.
